Cory is about to turn 21 and is looking forward to his very eventful birthday party at a hotel. He is ready for a lot of fun, but trusting the other party goers to bring/use condoms may not be protection enough. Elijah

Elijah is 21 years old, and quite knowledgeable about PrEP. In fact, they started talking Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) when they were 15. After some life challenges, they are ready to get back on track with their PrEP medications, now that they have insurance that will cover it. Read more “Elijah”

Frankie

Frankie is a 20-year-old nonbinary youth from Delaware who travels to Philly a lot to meet with friends and a couple folks he sees romantically. One of his current partners disclosed to him that he tested positive for HIV. Frankie is worried about the results, so they’ve been avoiding getting tested. It’s been about a month since the partner disclosed their diagnoses. Read more “Frankie”

Hex

Hex is a 20-yr old, gender diverse kid from South Jersey. Hex just came out to his family about a year and a half ago and loves to learn new things. Hex has a friend of his who just found out about Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and has been talking to them about it. Hex is sexually active, uses condoms when they have them. Read more “Hex”

Jaret

Jaret is a 20-yr old, gender diverse youth who has been interested in taking Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for a while now, but it has been difficult to get an appointment. Jaret is doing this interview today to see what other options for PrEP are available, to see which will work best for them. They’ve seen a lot of advertisements for several PrEP options, with an injectable option in particular that they think may be the best fit. Read more “Jaret”

Josh

Josh is 17 years old and is asexual/Ace. He is currently in the early stages of dating and is thinking about taking things further but is unsure how to talk about using condoms. Our PHRESH Interviewer is going to interview this young person to help him start that conversation with the person he’s dating. Read more “Josh”

Ken

Ken has been taking Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), but not consistently, they also have some knowledge about PrEP and Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), even if it isn’t necessarily accurate. Our PHRESH Interviewer is going to talk with them about what PrEP and PEP medication really does and assist in getting him his PrEP medication renewed. Read more “Ken”

Loko

Loko, as his friends call him, is a 21 yr old trans guy from Northeast Philly. He just recently started dating as a guy, after going through a period of celibacy while he transitioned. Part of this journey was him also realizing he was pansexual. He’s been reading up on PrEP, and is talking with his partner, who may have some dated opinions about PrEP use. Read more “Loko”

Lynx

Lynx, a 24-yr old nonbinary youth who is casually dating, and is currently sexually involved with all their partners, but only uses condoms with some of them, and is really interested in at least one of them, in a more serious capacity. Our PHRESH Interviewer is going to speak with them about the importance of practicing safe sex with *all* partners, and other ways to keep themselves safe, as well as others. Read more “Lynx”

Matt

Matthew is a 19-year-old nonbinary youth who is finally ready to engage in sexual activity and would like to sort out options to keep themselves safe while they explore their sexual interests, namely, Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP.) Our PHRESH Interviewer is going to discuss some options for them and set up an appointment to start taking PrEP. Read more “Matt”

Sabri

Sabri came to this PHRESH Community Promise Interview with a lot of knowledge about Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP,) and is contemplating taking the medication, but wants to review more options. Our PHRESH Interviewer has offered to give more concrete information on options for PrEP and set Sabri up with a new appointment to get back on his PrEP medication. Read more “Sabri”

Scarlett

Scarlett is a nonbinary, trans youth who is adamant about taking their PrEP medication and is interested in knowing the different options to take PrEP. They find it important to have a set schedule, as they do with many other aspects of their life, to promote a healthy routine of staying on top of one’s health. Read more “Scarlett”

Kyree

Kyree is 19 yrs old and is sexually active but uses condoms regularly. He’s heard of Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP,) but wasn’t sure if he needed to take it, as he sees it as simply “extra protection”. Our PHRESH Interviewer will talk with Kyree about why condom use, and taking PrEP can be beneficial. Read more “Kyree”

Vinnie

Vinnie is a 22-yr old person who not only consistently uses condoms, and all other safer sex barriers, and is on Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP,) but also talks to their clients about taking PrEP as well.
