The Attic’s Summer Internship Program

Each summer The Attic offers a paid internship opportunity for Philadelphia’s LGBTQ high school students. This program is part of Philadelphia Youth Network’s WorkReady initiative, which funds workforce development opportunities for youth. The Attic’s internship program empowers LGBTQ youth and youth allies to work toward safety and visibility for LGBTQ youth in Philly. Each summer, the program has a theme (last year it was Black Lives Matter) and youth interns help create practical, usable, resources like a toolkit for teachers, videos to share their stories with others, performances, or research briefs.
