John Fisher-Klein

Executive Director

John joined the team at the Attic Youth Center in September 2021. Prior to accepting the role of Executive Director at the Attic, John worked extensively in human services in New Castle County, Delaware, where his experiences include work in HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention and early childhood education. John previously held multiple roles (including Executive Director) at AIDS Delaware, with a mission to halt the spread of HIV in the state. John has also held the role of Executive Director at Newark Day Nursery & Children’s Center, a nonprofit provider of preschool and out-of-school-time services. Most recently, John has worked for the Delaware Department of Education on early childhood policy initiatives.

John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Individual and Family Studies from the University of Delaware, and a Master of Science degree in the Administration of Human Services from Wilmington University. His vocational passions include financial management, strategic planning, board development, and leadership coaching.
